Following in the tradition of Angus & Julia Stone and Stars, The Firetree are brought to life with sublime harmonies and the contrast between two different, yet complimentary vocalists. The pair’s superb songwriting lays the foundation for their upbeat, catchy tracks.
The Firetree have recently released their highly anticipated debut EP, The Space Between. The EP was recorded at Studios 301 in Australia with acclaimed producer Murray Burns and showcases the unique sound and duality of the group.
In November 2010 The Firetree took their live show on a tour across the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada. Performing as a five piece band, the group performed a string of successful shows across the west coast and performed on popular television program Urban Rush in Vancouver.
The first single from The Space Between, ‘Tame’, was released in Canada in November, along with the EP at The Cellar, Vancouver on their 2010 Canadian tour.
For three weeks in December 2010 their song ‘Sun and Moon’ was number one on Amraps ‘Most Ordered For Airplay’ chart.
